Big Tree Consultancy Firm Engagement

For the past 5 decades, Our team have been practitioners in planning and the implementation of various agrogforestry programs and activities in Northern Bank Of the River Gambia. During these times, we worked with various government agencies, non-governmental agencies and civil society organizations. Collectively, we did significant awareness in the maintenance of forest and the surrounding environment in the observance of better forest management, planting of trees to increase income.

Malaine Hydara-Founder

Kebba Ceesay Co-Founder

Malaine Hydara Co-Founder has been Agroforestry practitioner since1981 with first deployment with Gambia Forestry Department and he served 15 years. During his tenure with the department, he managed the regional seed nursery and provide training of trainers with United States Peace Corps and other non-profit organizations.Malaine later works for Forut Gambia a Norwegian Non- Profit Organization coordinating the women’s vegetable gardening projects in Upper, Central, Lower Baddibu, Jokadu, Lower Nuimi and Upper Nuimi area. From 2005, he started private consulting works for various organizations including Adwac, Njaware Agricultural Training institutes, 4H, UNDP, Save The Children, Stay Green Foundation and Concern Universal. In 2020, he merged with Kebba Ceesay (Co-Founder) to form Big Tree Consultancy Firm. Malaine speaks fluent in Mandinka, Wollof and some English.

Kebba Ceesay Co-Founder works for the Gambia Community Development for 14 years before he starts working for Save The Children Gambia for 6 years managing women’s vegetable gardening and re-forestation programs. After the closure of Save The Children’s operation in the Gambia in 1996, Kebba joined ADWAC a non-profit organization based in Kerewan where he managed various adult literacy programs on environmental sustainability, Cooperative Farming, Rice Farming revitalization, Agroforestry programs and Small Scale business development for Rural women in ADWAC catchment areas. From 1996-2018, we works at ADWAC as the program officer before his retirement 2018. He acquired his Diploma and advanced Diploma in African Urban/Rural Development and related fields in The Gambia, Cameroon, Ethiopia and Tanzania.

In 2020, he merged with Malaine Hydara (Co-Founder) to form Big Tree Consultancy Firm. Kebba speaks fluent English, Mandinka, and Some Wollof.
